Anechoic Chamber for EMC and antenna measurements
Antenna measurements and EMC testing can be performed in this uniquely combined chamber, designed, delivered and installed by Albatross Projects GmbH in North of the Peoples Republic of China. The chamber has two areas: the first, a fully compliant 3m EMC test range and the second area where antenna measurements at a distance of 10 m can be performed.

EMC Radiated Emission Measurements
30MHz to 1GHz: Full compliance with ANSI C63.4 and CISPR 16-1-4 in 3m measuring distance;
1GHz to 18GHz: Full compliance with CISPR 16-1-4 in 3m measuring distance;
test volume: Ø2m in 3m distance.
EMC Radiated Immunity Tests
80MHz to 18GHz: Full compliance with EN 61000-4-3

In the short transverse distance of the chamber, a full compliant 3m semi-anechoic test environment has been created with a 2m, 2 t load metallic turntable. In this configuration the chambers is compliant to all relevant test and validation EMC Standards up to 40 GHz; the NSA calibration is better than ± 3.5 dB up to 1 GHz. By covering the EMC area’s floor with 36 inch very performance foam absorbers, the chamber is then converted to a high performance antenna chamber with a QZ reflectivity of better than -40 dB at the 10m test distance.
The microwave absorption characteristic of the matched hybrid RF absorbers of E&C Anechoic Chambers used on the walls and ceiling in the EMC Test area, made it possible to achieve this outstanding chamber performance.
The chamber has been installed on the 7th floor of a 10 storey high traditional Chinese building, itself fully completed and finished. Off-loading the materials and the construction of the self-standing chamber was a considerable logistic and mechanical achievement; the entire installation is fully modular and suitable for relocating in the future if necessary.
