Purpose of use
This MRI-System is installed at the Radiology surgery Dr. Röder, located in the hospital of Heidenheim, Germany. Medical checkups are done for ambulatory patients and inpatients of the adjacent hospital. In this particular case the MRI-System is used, for example, to identify the earliest possible diagnosis of strokes; also non-invasive vascular representations are possible without the use of vascular catheters. Due to the wide range of studies available this surgery is capably of providing services to a large number of patients in its locality.

Because of the host building configuration it was necessary for RF room to have two doors. These provide direct access to the RF room for both patients and personnel, thus ensuring a smooth examination procedure is performed. A special type of ventilation management was designed for this facility. The ventilation is guided through installed fabric sleeves that have laser cut profiled holes; these distribute the air evenly and ensure a pleasant change of air within the RF room. A careful selection of colors within the RF room helps to give the patient a feeling of being in ‘homely’ surroundings rather than a radiological surgery. This most important feature contributes to a comforting and more relaxing experience for the person undergoing the tests.
