Anechoic Chamber for 3m testing on Multimedia applications

The 3m Semi-Anechoic Chamber has been delivered to a major Japanese manufacturer of broadcasting receivers in Slovakia and is supposed to be used for full-compliance radiated emission measurements in 3m test distance and for radiated immunity testing in 3m test distance.

 

The chamber covers the whole frequency range from 26MHz to 40GHz, following the latest editions of International, US and European standards for EMC testing and site validation, including the latest CISPR 32 draft. Listing of the 3m site as FCC facility, getting European accreditation or VCCI recognition are equally possible. Typical EUTs (Equipments Under Test) are for example telecom equipment, entertainment systems, as well as information technologies equipment (ITE).

 

The chamber’s modularity for RF shielding and RF absorber lining is a proven advantage should the chamber ever be relocated or expanded.

  • 30MHz to 1GHz: Full compliance with ANSI C63.4 and CISPR 16-1-4 in 3m measuring distance, ±3dB
  • 1GHz to 18GHz: Full compliance with CISPR 16-1-4 in 3m measuring distance, ≤6dB
  • Quiet Zones: 2m, cylinder height 2m, floor standing
  • Customer specific Standard for E-Field uniformity in the test volume (30 – 1,000 MHz)

 

Radiated Immunity Tests

  • 80MHz to 18GHz: Full compliance with EN 61000-4-3
  • 1.5m x 1.5m uniform field in 3m test distance

 

Features

The chamber features a positioning system that includes a turntable (diameter 2.5m) and an antenna mast with controller. 
Further customized solutions for multimedia testing are included, e.g. automatic sliding door (size of 1.5m x 2,0m) with automatic platform for EUT entrance, a personnel door between CR and AC and other special features like RF shielded CCTV camera system, audio intercom, smoke detection, fiber optic converters, RFI power line and signal line filters, RF absorber lining with 30” matched hybrid Rf absorbers with white caps.

Additional ancillary RF shielded rooms like an amplifier room and a control room were supplied as well.
