Because of its mechanical and electrical interfaces to the chamber floor, the turntable is the subsystem, which mostly can influence the overall performance of the EMC Test Site. Therefore, it is traditionally considered to remain always under the technical control of the chamber supplier.

The solution and components shown below is the most commonly used by Albatross Projects. For further information please use our multipurpose contact form.

turntables WF-type

Turntable TT 1.2 WF – Introduction

The TT 1.2 WF turntable is specifically designed for installation either at intermediate levels in electromagnetic absorption chambers or in open areas. The disc is available in waterproof laminated and lacquered wood with 3cm thickness.
A 0.2m diameter opening in the centre of the turntable provides the capability to insert a power supply for testing. The GPIB (IEEE 488) bus, when operated with the SCU/MCU Controller, provides an additional control option for all functions.

Turntables for fully anechoic chambers are designed to be suitable for a ferrite covered floor, such as used for CDC™ and/or FAR type of chambers. The disk is located above the homogeneous ferrite floor, which is interrupted for the drive axle and support rollers only; typical maximum payload is 0.5t.

turntables SI-type

Turntable TT 2.0 SI – Introduction

Turntables for semi anechoic chambers are designed to be suitable for a ground plane floor, such as used for 3m, 5m or 10m fully compliant SACs. The disk is integrated flush in the floor and electrically contacted to the ground plane potential. The typical maximum payload is 1.0t and the minimum required floor height is 150mm.

The TT 2.0 SI turntable is specifically designed for installation either at intermediate levels in electromagnetic absorption chambers or in open areas. The base plate is available in stainless steel. If a ground plane exists, and the carrying plate is made of steel, then the adapter contact ring with a quadratic rim can be supplied. A 0.2m diameter opening in the centre of the turntable provides the capability to insert a power supply for testing. Removable braces can be installed if necessary. The GPIB (IEEE 488) bus, when operated with the SCU/MCU Controller, provides an additional control option for all functions.
